PREPARATION & CONSTRUCTION OF AN EPOXY-COATED INDUSTRIAL FLOOR IN GOLDAIR HANDLING’S MECHANICAL ROOM

Construction of a rigid reinforced industrial floor with surface hardening through the application of a quartz aggregate mixture. The floor structure consisted of C20/25 grade concrete, reduced thickness slab, reinforced with T131 steel mesh and 18 mm polypropylene fibers.
Application of a special two-component epoxy dispersion coating, suitable for application on freshly cast concrete surfaces, providing high resistance to mechanical stress. The coating technology is of Swiss origin, achieving walkability within 12 hours, full curing in 5 days and final mechanical strength after 14 days. For the external floor area, a transparent polyurethane protective coating was additionally applied to protect the surface from ultraviolet radiation.
